Quran & Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), Allameh Askari’s Criteria for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought
-- Careful not to be trapped by extremism, Allameh Askari worked on proximity of Islamic schools of thought.
keeping moderated by relying on the Noble Quran and the Infallible Ahl-ul-Bait (AS).
Director of Allameh Askari Institute, Hojat-ol-Islam Mehdi Hosseinzadeh, also admired late Allameh’s sense of responsibility reflected in his works.
“Whenever facing any sorts of ambiguity or skepticism in the society, Allameh Askari did not hesitate to try to come up with a logical response through profound researches which were finally arranged as valuable pieces of writing to be served in favor of the Islamic unity.”
History of Islam as well as Hadith studies were among subjects the late cleric was passionately interested in, Hosseinzadeh stressed, adding that such researches ultimately led him to write a number of books such as “150 Fictitious Personalities in History of Islam” and “Aisha’s Status in Islamic History”, providing unshakable facts for distinguishing the truth from falsehood.
He went on to say that a quick look at Allameh’s works clearly shows how vigilantly he dealt with the delicate question of proximity of Islamic sects and that such quality can surely represent him as a model to be taken by those deeply concerned with the matter today.
