Quran Translation by Haddad Adel Released
Translation of the Holy Quran by Gholam Ali Haddad Adel has been released and will be presented at the International Book Fair in Tehran.
Mohammad Zarabi managing director of Art-Creation Institute affiliated to the Astan-e Quds Razavi said the institute has published the work and it will be available at the book fair this week.
He said it took a few years for Mr. Haddad Adel’s translation to be compiled and edited. “Around a hundred Quran scholars and literary figures have read the work and pointed out their ideas for revising and editing it.”
“In this rendering, he has tried to use fluent words so that the translation would be easy for everyone to read. Another important feature of this translation is that Mr. Haddad Adel has attempted to remain faithful to the original text.”
Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, who is now a member of Majlis (Islamic consultative assembly), had started the translation in 2003 when he served as head of the Academy of the Persian Language and Literature.
